I decided to upload Terraria because I thought that TPB and everyone else should have an alternative to the THETA release, with like most of their releases, is riddle with viruses.

Borrowed a cracked steamapi.dll from Fairlight (checked it for viruses, none found) and used that in this release, so kudos to them.

Thank you very much. No viruses found by McAfee. After I saw that other release (by THETA btw), I thought that a clean copy of Terraria was gone. Thanks for proving me wrong.

I could not even open this either, when I checked task manager it was not even running, it won't launch.

If it does not work, check the installation folder and start the xnafx40_redist.exe it will help

"Playing Terraria is dependant on having both .NET 4 and XNA Frameworks installed on your machine. If you need to install these two components they can be installed by running
"dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe" and "xnafx40_redist.msi", located inside your Terraria directory."

That is directly taken from the instructions the installer provides you with. You must do that if the game doesn't launch for you.

If you got errors just install donetfx40 and xnafx40_redist.msi with steam only that i know

steam_api.dll in this package DOES NOT WORK!
I have got it from Terraria 1.1 and copy it into the terraria folder and replaced the one from this package
Now I have a working 1.1.2 game :)

I need help with the... uh, well. The multiplayer. If anybody can help, I'd be really happy if they did. Okay so the problem is:

I would try to connect with someone, but it would take too long. And whenever I gave someone my server IP address, it would take too long for them. And for some reason the IP address is always 127.0.0.1:777 and it's weird.

Help please?

well for IP addresses, 127.0.0.1 is your loopback address meaning it just points back to yourself. You will have to look up your public IP address (google "my IP?") and open port 777 or 7777 or whatever is after the : . If you want to play over LAN the "Status" tab of your network adapter will tell you your IP. Make sure Windows Firewall is allowing traffic through on that port as well.
